Palm Beach Park of Commerce

Honored with an Award of Excellence from the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP), the Palm Beach Park of Commerce is a landmark in Palm Beach County zoning. With the absence of a zoning ordinance for an industrial park of this scale (1200 acres), Urban Design Studio developed the zoning district ordinance, Planned Industrial Park District (PIPD) and took the project through both PIPD and Development of Regional Impact (DRI) approvals.

Design guidelines have been prepared by UDS to encourage preservation of the abundant native vegetation and wetlands, and to set siting, architecture and signage guidelines for the park. The NAIOP called the industrial park “a development of the future...one which considers every aspect of expert scientific planning.”
